The Banma ithari police achieved success during a vehicle checking operation by arresting three criminals riding a motorcycle on Thursday morning. A loaded country-made gun and live cartridges were recovered from the arrested criminals. Regarding the entire incident, Simri Bakhtiyarpur SDPO Mukesh Kumar Thakur held a press conference in the police station in the afternoon, where he explained the case. He stated that Banma ithari station chief Gyananand Amarendra received confidential information that three criminals were riding a motorcycle from Sonvarsaha Raj towards Banma to carry out a major criminal act. After verifying the information, the Banma station chief and SI Anil Kumar Singh, along with police force, started a vehicle checking campaign near Sugam Chowk. During this, the three criminals attempted to flee upon seeing the police, but were unsuccessful and were apprehended. Upon searching them, a loaded country-made gun and a live cartridge were recovered. The arrested criminals were identified as Manish Kumar, son of Jalo Rai from Tikaram Pur village in Munger district, Nitish Kumar, son of Umesh Sah, and Pranandan Kumar, son of Naresh Yadav from Banma village. A motorcycle and three mobile phones were also seized. Their criminal history is being investigated, and Manish Kumar has confessed to his criminal past, stating that he has been to jail before. All three criminals have been sent to judicial custody.
